From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of A Discovery of Witches—look for the hit TV series “A Discovery of Witches,” streaming on AMC+, Sundance Now and Shudder.
What does it truly take to become a vampire?
On the battlefields of the American Revolution, Matthew de Clermont meets Marcus MacNeil, a young surgeon from Massachusetts, during a moment of political awakening when it seems that the world is on the brink of a brighter future. When Matthew offers him a chance at immortality and a new life free from the restraints of his puritanical upbringing, Marcus seizes the opportunity to become a vampire. But his transformation is not an easy one and the ancient traditions and responsibilities of the de Clermont family clash with Marcus's deeply held beliefs in liberty, equality, and brotherhood.
Fast-forward to contemporary Paris, where Phoebe Taylor--the young employee at Sotheby's whom Marcus has fallen for--is about to embark on her own journey to immortality. Though the modernized version of the process at first seems uncomplicated, the couple discovers that the challenges facing a human who wishes to be a vampire are no less formidable than they were in the eighteenth century. The shadows that Marcus believed he'd escaped centuries ago may return to haunt them both--forever.
A passionate love story and a fascinating exploration of the power of tradition and the possibilities not just for change but for revolution, Time's Convert, the fourth books in the All Souls Series channels the supernatural world-building and slow-burning romance that made the previous books instant bestsellers to illuminate a new and vital moment in history, and a love affair that will bridge centuries.

Intriguing
I enjoyed listening to Time’s Convert, I loved getting to revisit and learn more of the story for the characters I have grown to love. I cannot count how many times I’ve listened to the All Souls Trilogy. There were only a couple things I didn’t like about this story. For example: Dianna, has the book of life inside her, and when she has a question the book of life would answer them. It wasn’t in this story. Also: The biggest issue I had was the narrator was someone new, she was decent, but when you come to know the characters thru another narrator, I find it hard to connect to the book as I did the others. And the way she pronounced things, I was at a loss for half the book.
All in all I loved the story, I hope Deborah Harkness continues telling the tale. For each and every member of the noble family. I would toughly enjoy hearing about the origins of each of them in more detail, and their interactions with each other in a different time.
Time’s Convert
Not a match for the authors work. Feels like it was written by someone else in a different voice? Reader was not even close to a match. Disappointed!
Loved it
Unlike other viewers criticism, I loved the narrator. I read and didn’t listen to the first three. This book was very interesting, but if your looking for book 4 of Diana and Matthew you’ll be disappointed. They are in it a bit but it’s all about phoebe’s process of becoming a vampire and the history of Marcus’ life. I enjoyed it very much.
