Hate it, with a burning passion
Welp, Erin Hunter, you’ve done it. You’ve finally written a book where my last straw broke, and trust me, it takes a lot for me to hate something, and even more to hate it with a burning passion.
(This part contains spoilers for the book, so
if you haven’t read it then you might wanna go. Or not. I wouldn’t read this book again. It was a piece of trash. Also just wanted to add that the book sucked, not the person reading it.)
First of all, this book is such a random book, I don’t know WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WANTED TO READ A WHOLE SUPER EDITION ABOUT A LOUSY DAD/LEADER/MATE. He sucked as you learned more about him throughout the main books. Now we got a stupid super edition about him. I would have been fine with a novella, or something but like- a super edition? Come on, Erins, we could have had literally any cat and it would have been better. What about Goldenflower? That would have been a cool novella. But of course, we had to pick stupid Onestar.
And the Smokey affair? So overused. So stupid. So cliché. Smokey was basically just there to be Onestar’s mate, and nothing more. Man, they weren’t even mates! They just hung out and stuff. Hated it.
If you think that Smokey x One was bad, just think of White x One. Trash ship, if you ask me. He literally has flashbacks of when Whitetail was an APPRENTICE and a KIT. A CHILD. EW NO.
Don’t recommend this book to anyone, unless I hate you. 😾
This gets Onestar
I don’t like this book. First of all,
Smoke in this book has absolutely no personality and is just there to be Onestars mate. Why? The Whitetail situation is just disgusting and disturbing. Not to mention how it’s literally just Onestar having a flashback. Not even current events that matter. Out of all the Super Editions, this is the laziest, and the worst. If Onestar hadn’t been so stubborn and had just taken Darkkit everything would’ve been fine!
