Jimi Rules
It is funny what breakups do to people. Not funny, ha, ha, but funny interesting. In the case of Bryce McGavin, the latest McGavin to get his HEA in A Cowboy’s Heart by Vicki Lewis Thompson, the breakup with his childhood sweetheart resulted in the loss of his music. There wasn’t a question that the right girl would help him get it back; Nicole Williams is just the girl.
This book has one of my new all-time favorite characters in it: a feline named Jimi Hendrix that definitely rules the roost. The right girl helps Bryce get his music back. The right guy tames Jimi. If anything, pick up this book just for the cat. You won’t be disappointed.

Every bit as thrilling to read as the other books in McGavin series
These McGavin men! Vickie Lewis Thompson writes these brothers so well, you only wish you were her heroine.
Bryce is no exception. This musically gifted brother is so expressive with his words and movements. Those fingers say so much whether strumming his guitar or Nicole. Heat!
And who doesn't love quirky Nicole? The only other person her aunt's cat doesn't attack, Nicole uproots her life to move long distance to take care of Jimi Hendricks when her aunt dies. Then dumps her fiancé in a bar when he becomes too pushy.
The new hairstylist fuels more than lust for her body. The woman practically owns him when she auditions to play at the bar he manages. She nails one of his favorites songs, one that most butcher, her voice calling him like a siren's wail.
Nicole's passionate playing reawakens Bryce's creativity, stifled by his ex's constant criticism, selfishness and defection a year before. How could he not feed his hunger by feasting on her, body and spirit?
But, with a serious break ip in his not so distant past, Bryce knows to tread lightly. He doesn't want to jump in too soon, to be the rebound guy. He wants a real chance at this incredible woman he can't get enough of.
But, can he tame her beast enough to even enter without being flayed by the people-hating cat? And, how long they are consumed by the attraction blazing like a forest fire between them?
