Likely, My Fav of the Series
I’m a sucker for a good rake as the leading man. Typos/poor editing that e-books often suffer from. Not so heinous as to make one too upset. Unless, you’re an English Major, or Reading as an Editor, or studying Creative Writing.
Couldn't put it down!
A great mix of romance and suspense.
Luke didn’t suffer enough
For the most part, I really enjoyed this book and liked the inclusion of the little secondary romance. However, I was really disappointed that Stone removed the scene (that was in the first book) in which Luke was figuratively slapped in the face with the truth of Lydia’s past, and thus, forced to repent of his horrible treatment of her. As it was, we didn’t see a ton of his repentance for treating her so badly in the first book, and I was looking forward to seeing that in this book. Not only did we not get that, one is left with the impression that Lydia had actually been a bad person at one point (when, in fact, she was a victim) if one hadn’t read the first book, simply because the truth of her past was never revealed in the second book.
