Great start to a new series
Kathryn Shay’s new Wounded Heroes series has a great start with Always Mine. Diego Rodriguez is the sole survivor as he and fellow police officers attempted to take down a local gang. Annie Stefano and Diego were involved when she was in college but went separate ways when she asked for time to live a little before marriage. When Annie hears about Diego’s injuries she is drawn to visit him in the hospital. One visit leads to another and Annie’s feelings are reawakened. This book tells of the struggles with PTSD and the long road to recovery as Diego and Annie find their way back to each other.
