Always You

Friends to lovers is usually my favorite genre but this pairing just didn’t do it for me. While I definitely felt the friendship between Nando and Bri, I just didn’t feel any sparks. I thought maybe it was the slow burn of the story, but even when they finally took their heads out of their butts, the chemistry just wasn’t there for me.
The Cantu brothers have made me work to connect with them, in general, so maybe I never got excited about Nando getting his story told that makes this one different? Or maybe it’s because while we see lots of familiar characters, they don’t interact with the MCs as a pair as much as in former books in the series.
Their friendship was very well written, and I love their banter. But as lovers, it was a very low simmer instead of the expected wild chemical reaction I was expecting.

ALWAYS YOU is the 3rd book in the Luna Harbor series. I loved this friends to lovers, slow-burn tension with all its angst, drama, witty banter, and push and pull. My heart outright swooned when I read this friends to lovers book. I wanted them together so badly. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page-turning story. Claudia Burgoa writes with a warmth so palpable her characters steal their way into your heart and remains for a long time. This is Fernando (Nando) Cantù and Brianna (Bri) Connolly’s story. Nando and Brianna met during the summer in NYC as he acted as her tour guide. After spending so much time together, Bri and Nando soon became best friends. Bri’s father was really strict with her, but she didn’t feel the love of a parent after her mother died. It seems that Nando had an interest in Bri beyond friendship, but when they had a tryst, nothing became of it because Nando didn’t want relationship feelings to destroy their friendship and the bond he has with Bri. Unbeknownst to each other, both Nando and Bri have an unexpected attraction for each other that is so intense, but the chemistry like the one they have can only be denied for so long. From his Podcast, Nando soon became a very successful self-proclaimed love expert—someone giving advise about love and who does not believe in love and relationships. When Nando gets the dreadful news about his grandfather, he has to return to Luna Harbor. The one person Nando could always trust and count on, no matter what happens—Bri. Bri is Nando’s rock and he is Bri’s rock. Their battle of wits is tremendously fun—acerbic and sexy and filled with tension. Everything about Nando and Bri seemed too good to be true, but none of that mattered until a situation turns Nando’s idyllic life upside down. What will Nando do now? Find out what happened—what a conundrum! Their journey is intoxicatingly quirky, perfectly paced, and all around fun. This is a book I can read over and over again. Nandi and Bri became best friends and they kissed once but was afraid of breaking there friendship so the stayed in the friend zone . Eventually they figured out they were in love with each other has a happy ending looking forward to next book
