Bablah's Odyssey 02

Episode 02: Bablah and Pet-Thing travel to a distant place where Elias, the Junior Custodian at the Time Consortium, explains how they manipulate time for profit. Time is treated as a commodity, and a monopoly owning several time-patents distributes or withholds it.

A mad genius, Lord Bablah, takes a deficient mutant Pet-Thing he earlier created on a journey across the universe to teach him about the 'wonders of progress and civilisation'. Subjected to remorseless brainwashing, Pet-Thing asks the right questions but gets the wrong answers.

Bablah's Odyssey is an absurdist satire on humanity. Using intensely colourful imagery and surreal humour, the author turns the reader's attention to many ethical, environmental, and societal problems. The comic employs a light-hearted metaphor to convey many thought-provoking ideas in a digestible manner.
