Professional hockey players aren’t supposed to get their hearts broken.

But that’s precisely what happened to me.

 

I fell hard for my ex…and then she cheated on me with a truly reprehensible teammate.

Because she was bored. Of me. Not life. She made that fact crystal clear.

So I moved on…if remaining single and losing myself in books when I’m not on the ice is moving on.

Until I met Prudence Hansley. She is—quite literally—the most imprudent person I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. A total daredevil, she’s jumped out of planes, hiked into volcanos, spent time in a shark cage.

She is…terrifying.

And wonderful. And somehow, she likes me. Boring me.

But when she dares me to take another chance on love, will I be able to find the courage to leap?
