IN error to the circuit court of the United States for the county of Washington, in the District of Columbia. An action of replevin was instituted in March 1825, by John Lloyd, in the circuit court of the United States for the county of Alexandria, against Charles Scott, bailiff of William S. Moore; and a declaration was filed in the common form, at September rules of the same year. In November 1827, the defendant filed the following avowry.
