Publisher Description
Katherine Feuillette had a traumatic year so she put the past behind her and looked forward to a quiet future. She gave up the job she loved and took up romance writing to wile away her days, for that would be the only love life she could ever envisage for herself.
Until she meets Jackson Blackenhawke, who takes her on a journey to the past so she can cherish the future, showing her she can be more than the heroine in her own stories.
She can be the heroine in real life, in the real world, if she wants to take a chance on love.

Don’t bother
Made it to page 28 and quit. Same old underlying storyline yet again. Please just stop with the “humanity is bad and only my characters are good” nonsense. Shows a lack of creativity when it’s the same words over and over in every book.
The prior book in this series was written in the 19th century; this book is written in the 21st century. That should have been disclosed in the description because of the two-century time line transition, especially since all the previous series books occur in the 19th century. Why such a jump in the time line? Very confusing and disappointing.
First time ever in reading thousands of books that I state with absolute conviction: Give me a refund!!
Very Disappointing
Loved the concept, but there ended up being no storyline, no romance, no obstacles to overcome. Just a screed about the evils of humanity.
