Publisher Description
When Derek Doyle wakes up next to a ripped-apart body, he's terrified he's about to lose everything he holds dear—Ever, his job, and his family. Dealing with his past has never come easy to Derek, especially since he's too afraid of what people would think if they knew exactly what kind of monster he really is. But finding out who's setting him up could be harder than the team thinks. As long as Derek has lived, there's bound to be a long list of enemies.
Ever Chace has a lot on her plate. Confronted with the possibility that she is indeed losing her mind, Ever tries to push it aside as they deal with the ramifications of Derek's past. Every new relationship has teething problems, but learning to deal with a mate who's used to being a lone wolf has its own set of issues.
Can the team figure out how to save Derek from a swift execution? And just how much strain will the revelations put on Derek and Ever's shiny new relationship?
Collateral Damage is the exciting sequel to Skin and Bones by Susan Harris.

Great series, ready for book 3!
Erika is possibly my favorite character! Love the interaction of all, as Ever keeps having strange things with open ends I’m looking forward as things continue. About to start book 3, but description seems to talk more about Caitlyn than Ever so it does make me wonder if focus changes and the questions start to show up if ever’s story is pushed back when her important future is so near.
A Great PNR
Collateral Damage is even more intense, mysterious, and exciting than Skin & Bones, book 1 in The Ever Chase Chronicles. I loved getting to find out more about Derek's past, as well as Caitlyn and Donnie. Susan Harris's ability to include unique paranormal characters in her stories in what seems like an effortless way, surprises me even more in Collateral damage. Yes, werewolves and vampires may be the main characters, but she includes griffins and leprechauns, just to name a few.
The first two books in this serious have been building up to what I imagine are going to be several major events in the lives of these characters, in addition to the main mystery of each individual book. I can't wait to find out more in book 3!
