Future real?
Good read. Story is set in about 2070, and for the most part the world building is acceptable. I’m kind of surprised that the author didn’t push the tech further. Other than a somewhat wimpy (yet personable) AI, there is not much here that isn’t currently on the development boards scheduled to be released in the next few years.
The heroines in the story are world class motorcycle stunt junkies and are said to be top notch students at a MIT class school, yet they seem to have mostly bad language and boys on their minds. Not enough nerd speak and technical dodads for me.
There is one glaring technical problem with this story. The idea of mag-lev trains in the California San Francisco Bay Area, much less running all the way down the coast to Mexico takes this book from science fiction to complete fantasy.
This book rocks all kind of crazy awesome.
Definitely stay up all night page turner of fun.
