Publisher Description
Megan Winters had lusted over Troy Harris, drummer for international rock band Power Station, for years. Not being the type of girl who was invited backstage, her fantasies had stayed just that, fantasies. When her best friend unexpectedly starts dating one of the other band members it puts her on a crash course at war with her libido. Her solution— they need to have sex. Surely once she had scratched that itch, and saw the fantasy didn’t live up to the reality she could move on. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?
Troy Harris vowed to stay away from Megs. The sexy, smart and funny blonde left his mind and his body feeling like a pretzel. No matter how attracted he was to her, she was a no-go zone. The best friend of his best friend’s girlfriend? Cue the reality show. But when she gives him the chance to have a one-night no strings good time, there was no way he could turn that down. Maybe she was right. One night, and then they could go back to being just friends.
Both of them were delusional.
Book two of the Power Station series.

4.5 stars; Funny, hot, and sweet!
The second book in the Power Station series turned out to be as new and exciting as the first book. This book features another member of the band, Troy, who plays drums and Megs, Ashlyn's best friend who has been lusting after Troy for years. I loved the idea that an attraction based on fame and admiration from afar changed to something more substantial when the two became friends.
While I understood why Megs and Troy decided in the beginning not to date, it was a little frustrating to see them dance around each other and the attraction there. It got to the point I wanted to reach into the book and smash the two of them together and leave them until they figured out what they were going to do. Watching them figure out how to not let anyone of their friends know was fun but tricky. I found it ironic Megan had a larger problem with telling everyone than Troy. He seemed like the perfect guy; kind, mild mannered, and confident, and ready for commitment. Megs was cool too. She really cared for her clients and friends.
So the heat Troy and Megs gave off each other was fiery. It was like every time they came in the vicinity of each other, their bodies took over. It made for some really hot reading. There was a really interesting twist in the book. I totally didn't see it coming, but I think it was a great way to test the mettle of Troy and Megs relationship. It was hard to read and chocked me up emotionally. I loved how Troy handled the situation and I completely understood the pain they were both feeling. I really think Troy stole the spotlight in the book. I mean it was told from alternating points of view, which was great, but being in Troy's head was just amazing.
It was great to see Dan and Ash again, as well as other band members, and not just as cameos but as integral parts of the plot. T Gephart really has me excited about this series and thankfully book three will be out later this year. Crash Ride was funny, hot, sweet, and just an overall great read.
