Cresedant Falling

Piers Hezal is an ambitious flight officer on the space transport ship "Cresedant".  After the refuelling station it was docked with exploded, destroying the station completely, the Cresedant was thrown clear, damaged but serviceable.  Piers finds himself the lone human survivor, struggling to make it home.  On the way he discovers the uneasy truth behind the explosion, and the nature of his unusual companion.
