Such an incredible book!!!
Book 2 of the Ashford Creek Series and it broke me!
OMG, Carrie Ann Ryan knows how to break your heart and then put it back together with her characters and that is what she did with Bodhi and Kiera!
After losing his wife and children in a fire, Bodhi hides away in his cabin. He has sentenced himself to a life of solitude and loneliness because he didn’t deserve to live when he lost everything.
Kiera is running from an abusive ex and finds herself in a friend’s cabin in Ashford Creek just to hide away from everything and everyone.
When these two come face to face, they felt something but neither one was ready or willing to act on it. Kiera couldn’t trust again and Bodhi didn’t deserve to be happy again, both haunted by their past tragedies.
Watch these two find a way to heal, not alone but with one another.
This book is so good and it will keep you glued to your seat from the beginning! Carrie Ann Ryan did not disappoint and always gives us heartwarming stories!

Oh my heart. Bodhi and Kiera’s story was so beautiful! Pulling at all my emotions, these two put me through it.
Bodhi absolutely broke my heart. This man had been through it and his grief was so deep. Trying to survive the massive losses in his life, he shut off for the world and his family. When Kiera pops onto his land looking for safety from her ex, Bodhi can’t help but fit the pull to her.
These two are so freaking beautiful! Carrie Anne did such and amazing job capturing love after loss and the pull between grief and love. I absolutely adored the way Kiera continuously showed up for Bodhi and gave his the space he needed to grieve and navigate this new love.

Bodhi and Kiera’s story drew me in from the first chapter. I liked their individual personalities and I loved the chemistry that sparked between them. My heart ached for both of them as they dealt with their troubles. Wonderfully written story.
Jason Clarke and CJ Bloom did a phenomenal job narrating this story. They portrayed the emotions of these characters so well.
