Publisher Description
With one scowl, I fell just that much harder for Callum Ashford—NFL star turned small town brewer. He’s not only older, but he’s my brother’s best friend. Two very important reasons I should stay away.
Only two years ago, after the worst night of my life, he kissed me and I can’t keep him off my mind.
When the only house available to rent in town happens to be the one across the street from him, the close proximity does its work.
We can’t keep our hands off each other. Yet as the heat rises, so do feelings. He might want me, but he wants peace more.
There’s a darkness within him I know he fights. Just as there are secrets his family needs to uncover. But when the danger comes full force, it won’t be from the obvious corner. No, we both have our pasts we chose to hide.
And our fears.
Yet when I break, he catches me.
And I hope I have the strength to do the same.
**Legacy is an age gap, best friend’s little sister, small town romance and the first in the Ashford Creek series featuring Callum and Felicity. Each one can be read as a complete standalone. A HEA is guaranteed!**

Legacy
We met Callum and Felicity in Careless. It is included at the beginning if you haven’t read it. Felicity returns to her small town after college. Callum is friends with her brother and is older (which seems to be an issue for him). They have a neighborly affair going on after he helps her find somewhere to live. They both have a lot to work through, especially Callum. Definitely a small town dynamic, which will be interesting to see how it all plays out for the others. There is some family and past friend drama that keeps us on our toes as these two find their HEA. Cant wait for more!
Loved It!!
Legacy is the first book in Carrie Ann Ryan’s new Ashford Creek series. We are introduced to this new group through Callum and Felicity. This is brother’s best friend story and I am totally loving this new series!!
Slow Burn Best Friend's LIttle Sister with a little suspense and a lot of heat
I read Careless, a prequel to this series, and was anxiously waiting for the rest of Callum and Felicities story. Felicity and Callum have always been in each other’s live. Callum is best friend with Felicity’s older brother and has returned home after an NFL career to run his family brewery. When Felicity returns home from college for her 21st birthday and has a harrowing run in with a blind date set up, Callum saves the day. Callum doesn’t think he is good enough for Felicity and much of this book is him trying to stay away despite being drawn to her in every way. Felicity has always been in love with Callum but when he pushes her away she finally makes up her mind to move on. But when she ends up moving next door, their proximity forces the to confront their feelings for each other.
Callum and Felicity’s chemistry is off the charts and I loved the slow burn and waiting for them to figure it out. When their proximity leads to a friend with benefits arrangement this story really gets interesting, and steamy. I loved what Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke bring to the story. They do a great job making you feel the longing and between both Callum and Felicity and really draw you into the story from the first word. As with all of Carrie Ann’s books you have a bit of a mystery and I loved how it all played out. Great story and great audio. Worth a read/listen. (I’ve now done both)!
