PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Hannon (Hope Harbor) gets her Code of Honor romantic suspense series off to a strong start. After Trish Bailey's husband and father die in a car crash, her only surviving family member is her mother. Lately, Trish has been having memory lapses, and when her mother dies suddenly from overdosing on medication, Trish becomes a suspect. Could she have miscounted her mother's medication during one of her memory gaps? Her late mother's accountant, Matt Parker, almost immediately attempts to woo her under the pretense of comforting her and also pushes to become more involved in managing Trish's wealthy family's philanthropic foundation. Meanwhile, the detective investigating the death of her mother, Colin Flynn, is a much more appealing romantic alternative; he has a genuine interest in finding out what happened and doesn't believe Trish was involved. When the reason for Trish's memory lapses comes to light and she becomes the victim of an attack, Colin's desire to protect Trish deepens, as do his feelings for her. Outside of Trish's outward commitment to God, faith elements are light. The suspenseful conclusion and believable romantic element will leave readers eager for the next installment.
Customer Reviews
An intricately woven romantic suspense novel!
I absolutely love both of the main characters! They are incredibly well developed. The way that their back grounds are presented over time is fantastic!
The plot of the story had me purely guessing for most of the book. I couldn’t figure out the motive behind the things that were happening to Trish. She was so burdened down by everything that had been going on in her life that I just wanted to hug her. I was definitely rooting for Colin and the rest of the police to figure it out and catch the bad guys.
I received a free copy of the book from the publisher. I have chosen to write this review to express my personal opinion.

Dangerous Illusions
BRILLIANT!
Dangerous Illusions (Code of Honor Book #1) is exhilarating from start to finish! Excellent characters - Trish Bailey is a fantastic main character. Moral, caring, loving, devoted to her Mother and her students and intelligent. Detective Colin Flynn catches the case involving Trish’s Mother’s mysterious death. He’s steady as a rock, by–the–book, dependable, but ready to take risks and act once he’s thought things through. The villain is one of the most well–conceived characters in this genre! The way Hannon weaves this storyline will have you hanging on every page! I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and Revell. The opinions expressed here are completely my own. I preordered a copy of this book for my own personal library.
