Publisher Description
She swims with great white sharks.
And he will film it …
“I’m going to freedive with the whites. I know you have a lot of experience filming sharks, but this will be different. You’ll likely have to leave the cage. I need to know you’re up for it.”
Dr. Grace Mann has spent her life among great white sharks. Raised in the shadow of her father’s obsession, she learned early to respect their power—and their beauty. Now she’s on the brink of proving herself at last, testing a groundbreaking shark-detection array that could change how humans and sharks share the ocean forever.
But her breakthrough comes with complications.
Her ex, fellow researcher Brad Michaels, is circling—eager to claim credit for her work. And then there’s Alec Galloway, an award-winning underwater filmmaker hired to document her research. Grace swore she’d never again mix science and desire after one spectacularly failed romance. No matter how tempting Alec’s easy charm and ocean-honed confidence may be, her focus has to stay on the project… and on surviving the increasingly dangerous waters around them.
Alec Galloway is used to chasing risk. Sharks, storms, uncharted depths—it’s all part of the job. What he didn’t expect was Dr. Grace Mann: brilliant, guarded, and impossible to ignore. When her boss forces the collaboration Grace tried to avoid, Alec quickly realizes the greatest challenge isn’t capturing breathtaking footage—it’s earning Grace’s trust. As admiration deepens into something more, Alec finds himself competing not just with her past, but with predators that don’t forgive mistakes.
In waters where one wrong move can be fatal, passion and ambition collide.
A high-stakes contemporary adventure romance packed with tension, desire, and heart-pounding danger.

*****
Kristy McCaffrey writes romances with compelling heroes and determined heroines mixed with high adventure. DEEP BLUE is a full-length HFN forced proximity romance with a STEM heroine, a hero who falls first, strong language and medium spice. What it’s not? The typical Jaws story – no sharks or humans die. In fact, you might develop a soft spot for these perfect predators of the ocean.

A pleasant surprise
This was my first time reading this type of romance and it didn’t disappoint! I honestly was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The characters feel like family right away. Deep Blue speaks to my love and fascination for the ocean but also welcomed me into a new realm that I’ve never given much thought to; sharks. I really enjoyed the simplistic thrill of this read from cover to cover.
Great blend of Adventure & Romance
I’m a sucker for a good love story and this was a great book to start off the series! I fell in love with all of the characters and the adventure and storyline kept me hooked all the way through the book. A great slow burn romance that you’re rooting for from the beginning!
Deep Blue
My first time reading this author. I find her character well developed both the likable ones and the others. Ha! I loved the descriptions of all the places and felt she described being in the ocean beautifully, it is very easy for me to believe that there are many very intelligent creatures on this planet and sadly people tend to be less humane.
