Emotionally unavailable men
I loved this book. I was in a depression thinking it was all me, and trying to fix more within myself which is still always a great quality. This book helped me realize I am not the only problem in my failing relationship. Thanks for the great read!
Great read-Dr Kelley knows the mind of a man well
Dr. Kelley describes the do 's and dont's well. Men are more fragile than we think so bombarding them with criticism & put downs is pointless. I grew up around brothers and hanging out in my dads shop so i listened to how men communicated with one another and it very rarely was with high emotion or drama like many of us ladies like to do to our men today;as a little girl & I noticed with men they for the most part like to keep things light & fun,joking around with each other , & talking crap! I have found myself around 6 years ago being one of the biggest harping nag in my relationships, but once I grasped the concept Dr. Kelley talks About in regards to not making people's "wrong" it freed up so much more and un-needed suffering....i got back to learning how to "play" as an adult and having a good time. Great read, thank you Dr.Kelley!
Loved It!
I've read several other books about emotionally unavailable men but this one is the best! Other books just tell you how to "understand" him but this one tells you how to "manage" him. I found the "scale" really helpful so I could know whether or not he's workable. I've tried some of her strategies and they really do work!
