Publisher Description
One girl. Two worlds. And a destiny she never asked for.
Brea Robinson doesn't believe in fairytales—until the day she's arrested for a crime she has no memory of committing. Branded unstable and abandoned by her family, Brea is left with nothing but questions. That is, until a mysterious stranger whisks her away from her bleak reality and into a realm torn from myth and magic.
In the world of the Fae, secrets pulse beneath every wickedly beautiful surface, and Brea may be the biggest secret of all. As she navigates a kingdom where loyalty is uncertain, magic is power, and everyone wants something from her, Brea must confront the terrifying truth: the lies she believed about herself may be the only thing keeping her alive.
Torn between a past she can't trust and a future she never chose, Brea is thrust into a war for control—of a kingdom, of her power, and of her heart. But if she can't untangle the deception woven around her, both realms may fall.
Fae's Deception is a swoon-worthy portal fantasy perfect for fans of A Court of Thorns and Roses, The Bridge Kingdom, and Throne of Glass. With lush worldbuilding, forbidden romance, twists that will leave you breathless, and a heroine who's done playing by anyone else's rules. This is the first book in a spellbinding series where nothing—and no one—is as they seem.

Fun!
I think the plot is very fun.
The way it’s written is a little interesting in a very “young adult” kind of way!
I do love how the author references to all the other fantasy stories that seem to have influenced their story line.
It’s a fun story and I’m interested to see where it goes.
Fae’s deception book
This book has everything a great storyline has to offer. For example, romance, betrayal, revenge, humor, and unusually realistic thought processes for inhuman characters/creatures called the fae. This girl named Brea goes from mental institutions and being convicted of murder to learnin that she is half fae and half human, to falling in love (with a way too perfect man) in a fantasy land where everything that is beautiful is dangerous and everything is a lie. After that she discovers that she is a changling and that she has 2 kinds of fae blood. She realizes that her human parents do not define her because she is full fae. This book would be worth a 10 star rating if that was possible. ⭐️ Thank you for reading!!! 😁
Not even worthy of one star
All the reviews I read said they couldn’t put this book down, I had to force myself to read the first 100 pages. It’s horribly written and absolutely boring.
