Humorous and sweet.
A very enjoyable story, part of a series but is a standalone.
This is the first book I’ve read by Jean Oram. Love and Rumors is a great start to a series that I plan to read more of.
The blurb is pretty accurate so I won’t restate the story here. I would say, though, that I wouldn’t call this a “billionaire” romance – at least not what I think of as a typical one. Finian came from very humble roots and, even though he is a movie star, nothing about him says billionaire to me in the story. I mention this only because I know some readers are getting tired of the billionaire thing and I wouldn’t want someone to miss a good story.
Finian and Hailey dance around each other throughout a lot of the book. They don’t communicate with each other very well at most times but the chemistry between them is hot. They both have secrets that they don’t want the other to find out about. Their path to an HEA isn’t smooth but they do get there.
