Love was never supposed to be a game...
All my life, I’ve only love one girl. She was my best friend, my bandmate, and until then, I thought she was also my soul mate. Now I know better because her heart belongs to someone else. That someone else being my brother. She’s still my best friend, though, and together, we reach our craziest dream, getting a record deal and touring the world as the new sensation in country music. From the outside, I have it all—fame, fortune, and a career that others only dream of. But behind the flashing lights and sold-out shows, my life is unraveling.
After an event sends me crashing from the top to rock bottom, I’m left with no choice but to reinvent myself. Sure, I achieved all my dreams—but I lost them just as quickly. This time, I’m not chasing fame or success. I’m after something real. I want the kind of head-over-heels love I’ve been singing about in every love song I’ve ever written. Then I meet her. Savannah Prince is intoxicating—wild, unpredictable, and impossible to resist. From the moment she walks into my life, I’m caught in her orbit, drawn to the reckless passion in her eyes and the secrets she refuses to share. She’s the kind of woman who can ruin a man, and deep down, I know it. But knowing doesn’t stop me from falling.
Our chemistry is electric, our connection undeniable. But Savannah’s past is a ticking time bomb, and if it detonates, it could take what’s left of my world down with it. My career, my future—everything is on the line. Yet, the deeper I fall, the less I care about the consequences.
When love turns into obsession and passion into destruction, I’m faced with the ultimate choice: walk away before it’s too late or risk everything for a woman who might just be my downfall. What should I choose?

Great Prequel
This author knows how to write an emotional story that you can’t put down. I loved that this prequel gave even more information on Carters past and especially his relationship with Savannah and childhood with Dahlia. It made me like Carter even more. I knew Savannah was toxic, but oh my, I was not expecting the crazy that was Savannah. Getting a little bit from her perspective just cemented the fact that I did not like her. Carter was very vulnerable, and my heart ached as he was trying to make the relationship work when it was clearly not right for him While there were some spicy scenes, I was missing the banter and the chemistry that I loved in Pink and Country. Knowing how Carter’s story turns out, left me not as connected because I loved the romance he had in the other book. However, I loved getting to see how everything went down in this relationship. If you have not read either yet I recommend reading this first. I received a gifted copy for review, all opinions are my own
Carter Hills is the best book boyfriend!
False Promises is in the Carter Hills Band world. Books are best read in order. This world is pretty addicting, so you will want to read all of them!
Wow! I met Savannah Prince in Pink and Country. I thought she was nuts then, or maybe just a totally nasty person. Turns out she really is nuts! Carter Hills has had so much trauma and tragedy in his life, and like the true narcissist that she is, Savannah knows just how to pile on more of the same. This is a very tough time in Carter’s life, and his journey to the other side has you rooting for him the entire time.
Emmanuel Snow really knows how to tug at all of your emotions and does such a great job of bringing her characters to life! I highly recommend this book! Five stars!
Carter Hills will always have a place in my heart!
Oh Carter....he still has a place in my heart. I already know how his story ends and I was definitely biased going into this but after reading it....I don't think I was biased at all....I still do not like Savannah....period! She is definitely the devil in disguise!
I absolutely love how Carter has always been written as a man not afraid of his emotions. He is a musician so there are naturally emotions there. He wears his heart on his sleeve for sure. Every time he was hurting I swear I could feel it too! I loved reading the early parts of Dahlia and Jeff being together as I have yet to read their actual story but then when that she devil showed up I had to just keep reminding myself Savannah is only temporary...lol!
I have to give it to Ms. Snow when she wants to write a character everyone should dislike....she does it well. I am curious to see if there are any readers out there that did like her. Thank the heavens Carter came to his senses and kicked her to the curb opening up the way for April and you can read that story in Blindsided.
