Publisher Description
Three years after being named Alpha of the North American pack, Elena Michaels is in London battling for respect from the British pack. When it becomes apparent she won’t get it, she heads home, expecting a much-needed rest on her family vacation, only to discover a battle brewing of a very different kind.
One of her eight-year-old twins has disappeared, and all evidence points to Malcolm Danvers. It seems as if the psychotic former Pack member they’ve been tracking for the past year has brought the fight to them, setting the bait he knows Elena can’t afford to ignore.
Number one New York Times bestselling author Kelley Armstrong returns to her much-loved Otherworld with this powerful novella detailing the latest trials and travails of a fan-favorite character, a working mother who happens to lead the werewolves of North America.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Werewolf Elena Michaels can't catch a break in this absorbing, lengthy Otherworld Nights novella, set three years after she became Alpha of the North American Pack. Elena may have broken through the Pack's glass ceiling, but she still endures the struggles of any high-powered professional woman: other Alphas question her authority, and her eight-year-old daughter, Kate, resents the time she spends away on business. When Kate runs off just as Elena receives a series of cryptic calls, Elena goes on high alert. As she, her husband, and various Pack members search for Kate, she scents a dangerous rogue werewolf previously banished from North America. Finding Kate and keeping her safe become more complicated and difficult when the girl begins experiencing a sort of paranormal puberty. Armstrong's writing is alternately taut and intimate, and readers facing societal pressures around career and family will appreciate that at least they aren't having to fight off violent monsters as well.

Enjoyed this book
If you've been following the supernatural series this was a great addition and a nice follow up with enough of a teaser of more to come.
Not a good book
I like ALMOST all of the supernatural books but this book is very boring. The book draws out unimportant details that don't even need to be in the book. I also don't really like that fact that the main character is so old! This is my FIRST supernatural book I didn't like. I DO NOT recommend this book!!!!!
