There's always one more grave to dig
Lately, life has been unnaturally calm for vampires Cat Crawfield and her husband, Bones. They should have known better than to relax their guard, because a shocking revelation sends them back into action to stop an all-out war . . .
A rogue CIA agent is involved in horrifying secret activities that threaten to raise tensions between humans and the undead to dangerous heights. Now Cat and Bones are in a race against time to save their friends from a fate worse than death . . . because the more secrets they unravel, the deadlier the consequences. And if they fail, their lives—and those of everyone they hold dear—will be hovering on the edge of the grave.
Emotional stakes and body counts are high in Frost's exciting and dramatic seventh Night Huntress novel (after This Side of the Grave). Vampire spouses Cat and Bones have faced multiple threats in their world of secret government organizations, ghouls, ghosts, and demons. Cat's special abilities stemming from her half-vampire origin nearly sparked an interspecies war. Now four of her former fellow agents have been reported killed in action. When Cat and Bones and their team search for the missing agents, they make a stunning discovery: CIA agent James Madigan has betrayed them and is now engaging in genetic experimentation with a terrifying agenda. Significant figures from the past books and companion stories play key roles. Leavened with strong emotion and dark humor, and featuring superior writing as well as a thoughtfully structured plot, Cat and Bones's final adventure is appropriately splendid and satisfying.

Red Reaper Series
Excellent in all regards!
I read this book in a 24 hour period. I'm a mother of eight and my youngest is nine months old. So when I got a chance to read I was on it. This book was so good I hate putting it down and I had to a lot. It was action pack from beginning to end. It was one adventure after another. I have so enjoyed this book as I have enjoyed other by her. Thank you for the adventures, I can't wait till the next one.
Entertaining but Predictable Conclusion
I'm sad to say goodbye to Cat & Bones, yet it was time. I feel like this was more of a FanFic with its strong influences from the last Twilight book (can we say Renesme & Vulturi anyone?); Supernatural (does the demon remind you of someone?); and Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark Series (secret labs with evil villains bent on experimenting on immortals). However, the author sort of made it her own & filled it in nicely with lots of action & a squeeze of romance. Overall, a tidy ending to an interesting series.
