Publisher Description
This book began with a simple prompt: show me my blind spots. I was exploring self-study through yogic living and curious about what might surface through a thoughtful exchange with modern tools. What unfolded became a real conversation across digital space with my avatar, Art.
Part of my work is helping yogis better understand themselves and the world around them. That includes learning how to engage with technology with awareness and intention. When we understand the software we use, we reduce wasted effort, unnecessary computing, and the hidden cost of excess data. In many ways, this book began as an experiment in practicing that very idea.
From child’s pose is a reflective memoir told through a live conversation between Michelle Rae Sobi and her AI collaborator, Art. What began as a question about blind spots gradually opened into something more personal: an honest exploration of injury, loss, resilience, and the unexpected path that led Michelle toward yoga, teaching, and mentorship.
Blending voice-to-text reflections with black-and-white photography, the book traces the quiet moments that shape a life. From rebuilding after serious injury to discovering purpose through service, each chapter reflects the philosophy that came to guide her work: trust the unfolding of life and continue the practice.
At its heart, from child’s pose is not only a story about yoga. It is a story about beginning again.
