Publisher Description
The “hot and humorous” debut of the action-packed shapeshifter series from the New York Times bestselling author of the Pride novels (USAToday.com).
It’s not every day that a beautiful naked woman falls out of the sky and lands face-first on grizzly shifter Berg Dunn’s hotel balcony. Definitely they don’t usually hop up and demand his best gun. Berg gives the lady a grizzly-sized t-shirt and his cell phone, too, just on style points. And then she’s gone, taking his XXXL heart with her. By the time he figures out she’s a honey badger shifter, it’s too late.
Honey badgers are survivors. Brutal, vicious, ill-tempered survivors. Or maybe Charlie Taylor-MacKilligan is just pissed that her useless father is trying to get them all killed again—and won’t even tell her how. Protecting her little sisters has always been her job, and she’s not about to let some pesky giant grizzly protection specialist with a network of every shifter in Manhattan get in her way. Wait. He’s trying to help? Why would he want to do that? He’s cute enough that she just might let him tag along—that is, if he can keep up . . .

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Laurenston builds on the popularity of her Pride and Pack series with the funny and quirky first Honey Badgers Chronicles paranormal. Charlie is the oldest of three half-sisters, all of whom are part human and part honey badger shifter, and she takes her responsibilities very seriously. Charlie is the peacemaker, middle sister Max embraces her full devil-may-care nature, and Stevie, the youngest, is a prodigy in several fields. While Stevie is on a mental health break in Switzerland, humans abduct her, attempting to kill Charlie in the process. Fortunately for all, Charlie meets Berg, a grizzly shifter and security specialist with a fondness for helping damsels in distress. What ensues is a frantic joyride through several countries, reintroducing beloved faces from earlier books and sparking new family feuds. Laurenston focuses on the three sisters as relative outsiders to their shifter heritage, showing that they face somewhat significant challenges due to their hybrid natures. Though the plot stalls in places, the story embraces the familiarity of old friends and the excitement of new, sometimes ridiculous adventures.

Hot n badger
Interesting, kind different, some neat twist with the family and different kinds of shifers, a fun read
Fantastic and Fabulous!
A great read, a lot of fun and truly bonkers!
Made Me Laugh
This was a pleasant change from other shifter storylines that I have read. Most of the others revolve around alpha shifters. I like those, too, but this one made me laugh out loud several times. Max was a hoot and Stevie was funny in a crazy way (pun intended). I loved how Charlie managed them both but still was able to find the humor in the situations they found themselves in. It was a little too long for me, hence the 4 stares, but overall I liked the author’s writing style and it kept my interest for most of the story.
