He told his grandmother they were dating. Now he just has to convince the woman he barely knows to play along.
Drew Auprince has a plan: to crash through the ceiling of his family’s empire to become the top hotelier on the West Coast. He’s highly focused, but when he spots the sultry, enigmatic beauty he thought was “the one” in his lobby, he’s thrown off his game. So much so that he blurts out to his meddlesome, matchmaking grandmother that Alejandra is his date for her highly anticipated, over-the-top eightieth birthday party. Now it’s game on.
Alejandra Cruz is trying to keep a promise and a secret. But pretending to be Drew’s girlfriend? That’s not part of the plan—especially when the chemistry between them is all too real. Drew’s charming, magnetic... and completely off-limits.
As the lines between fake and real blur, Alejandra has to decide: can she keep her heart guarded, or is this hotshot hotelier the one fate always had in store?
A sparkling fake dating romance filled with heart, heat, and a meddling family determined to make love happen.

Hot Shot
A thoroughly enjoyable couple to get to know. I appreciate that the story focuses on their interactions with each other; that they talk about what they want from each other. Since they made an agreement to work things out, I was a bit disappointed there was a blowup and separation near the end, as per usual in so many books. Fortunately, it was short and they each had someone to help them understand the other. The HEA was excellent and the epilogues outstanding. A fun book with well-crafted characters.
Nice story
The story was a nice read with interesting characters.
Great friendships and great loves!
This fantastic book is third in the American Royalty series and it features Drew and Alejandra. WOW! This book has it all! The highs and lows, great friendships and great loves, family, humor and some fabulous sexy times. Alejandra has just broken up with her longtime boyfriend as he is moving out of the country for one year. They decided they would meet in one year and if they didn’t find anyone else in that year, they’d get back together. It’s during that year that she meets Drew. Drew has been burned, BAD, in the past. Just as he decides to swear off all women for a while, he meets Alejandra. Their friendship is great but their romance is so much better.
The story line is amazing! I love how the characters are a mix of every day, middle class people and the wealthy. I also love seeing characters from previous books. Rosemary is a hoot! This author continues to WOW me with her brilliant writing ability. I’m looking forward to the next book!
