She's a pilot, not a people person. What does she know about keeping a bunch of women alive on an alien planet?
Even worse, said planet has alien cavemen intent on carrying them off to their lairs to… do whatever it is alien cavemen DO to their captives. Yeah, that doesn't take a genius to figure out.
When the women she's trying to protect manage to get themselves captured, it's up to Maeve to track them through an alien forest, with unknown dangers, and rescue them. But she didn't count on becoming prey herself… or the handsome white-haired caveman who came to her rescue, and who insists on protecting her even if they don't speak the same language.
Sparks flare and she can't keep away. What's a little crash-landed on an alien planet romance going to hurt? But then his lies are revealed and she realises that the stakes are FAR higher than she thought…
He scares people. He doesn't protect them. Until her…
No one goes to Parac'Norr. Not willingly. The 'home' of the Izaean Berserkers (read exile prison planet they're dumped on), it's a hard and brutal place where only
the strongest survive. Then there's the Northern Continent… where all hope goes to die. When a ship crash lands there with precious females aboard, Raalt, the leader of the Izaea, must race against time to save them. Because the Northern Continent hides the Izaeans' best-kept secret…
But he has no choice. Once he heard her voice on the mayday call, he'll move heaven and earth to find her. She is HIS, and he'll kill everything on that gods-forsaken continent to protect her if he has to…
Even if it costs him his sanity and his soul.

Will he be in time to save her?
Hunted by the Alien Berserker is the nineteenth book set within the Warriors of the Lathar series, but could be read as a stand alone. Maeve has had a terrible day that just got worse by crash landing on an alien planet with other women with no supplies or survival skills. Raalt hears her distress cry and immediately recognizes her in his soul, and sets out to rescue his mate. But will he be in time to save her, and can he protect himself from the Rage?
Oh man, this book was so good! It was fun to see Maeve and Raalt’s reactions to each other, especially in the beginning before she realized he could understand her, and I loved that they both felt a connection to one another, even if she was worried about his intentions towards her. Maeve was resourceful, powerful in her own ways, and I loved her inner strength and survival instinct. I loved her dialogue, too! Raalt was an interesting character because he had his own strength, humility, and dominance, but was so tender with Maeve. I loved that he both wanted to claim her in all ways, but respected that she needed space or to protect herself and the women she was with. I thought the situation with the ferals was really interesting and brought up some questions that I hope are answered in future books! I really enjoyed reading this book, love this world, and can’t wait for the next book in the series!
Finally something exciting again!
Loved it! I’ve missed the excitement of the earlier Lathar books. Raalt is the ultimate alpha. Maeve is a strong willed, fearless woman. Perfect for each other. Full of action and humor. I guess the only thing I was missing was tying up the story with the other women. I expect more coming from this part of the empire. Almost as exciting as the Warborne crew. Recommend.
