When LA Cotton announced she was coming out with a hockey series I was so so excited! I’ve been waiting for her to write hockey and she did not disappoint! Not shocking though because everything she writes is amazing 😍

This book is about Aiden and Dayna. You get a little glimpse of Aiden in bite the ice which is the prequel to the series about another player named Connor. (Yes go read that too😉)

Aiden is pretty much angry at the world, so when he meets Dayna you can’t wait to see if she’ll bring out his soft happy side. Things are rocky between them in the beginning which was great because I love seeing that development between two characters who clearly don’t want anything to do with each other.

I always relate to many of LA’s fmc’s and Dayna is another on that list. It was great to see her finally live in the moment <3

The connection these two ended up having melted my heart🥲 LA never fails at writing a brooding bad boy who ends up falling in love 🥰

If you love hockey romances, forced proximity and the grumpy sunshine trope, then you definitely need to read this 🫶🏻

I cannot wait for the rest of this series! Counting down the days till March when we get Noah’s book🤗

Very good story! Aiden has been misunderstood for most of his life because of his dad but it was very refreshing to see people take a chance on him. He’s an amazing person and I’m happy that he found Dayna. She seen past the rumors about him. They were perfect together. Add in the chemistry between those two and it’s 5 stars at best. His nickname for her was so adorable as well. Very beautiful short story. Definitely recommend 100 percent!

I love hockey series and I love LA Cotton so putting them together is amazing! We got a little taste in the prequel novella and then we got this first book which was perfect. Dayna has not
been herself for the past few years. Losing someone close to you can do that. She fled home and all the good memories to start over, but going home became necessary after graduating
college because she missed her family too much. Aiden might be the hotshot on and off the rink but he needs to get out of his head and away from the whispers around him. Going to stay with
his coach for the summer wasn’t in those plans. When these two meet, both are holding back a lot of hostility about being in Dupont Beach for very different reasons, but when they both lower the walls a little they find that other one is the missing piece that they didn’t realize they were looking for.

I love the bad boy hockey star and Aiden is no different. He is hardcore protective and holds himself in that typical hotshot playboy way. He didn’t see Dayna coming but she knocked him on his butt, and he was not ready. Aiden open Dayna back up to the person she had been before. She allowed the memories to be spoken again and he was there to listen when she needed that. These two have such a great chemistry and I am truly excited for the rest of the
series.
