Loved this story! True love wins!
Liked Kaiden, but Lily not so much
I thought Kaiden, the new transfer football player from an rival high school was like this broody modern James Dean type but the difference that he’s a jock from a difficult and troubling home life but has a good heart. I liked him but as for Lily, yeah I sympathize about her emotional illness caused by childhood bullying and to that day she had trouble standing up for herself. The first few chapters were kind of sweet but further along it dragged with Lily’s negativity and hesitation to knowledge she truly loved Kaiden and needing to tell her football coach father the truth that they were sneaking around to be together. Of course, there were realistic issues like bullying, mental illness and suicide. I wish I could rate this a four or five but it was just a okay read.
