Publisher Description
The Cirrus Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge, by Cirrus™, introduces all the information needed to begin and progress flight training in a Cirrus SR aircraft. This digital manual is designed to guide readers through the process of obtaining a pilot’s certificate from start to finish, including preparing the pilot for the FAA written examination. This manual covers topics such as the history and role of the FAA, the different types of pilot certificates, aerodynamics, aircraft systems, flight maneuvers, and much more in beautifully crafted images and illustrations. Each topic is tailored to learning in a Cirrus aircraft so that readers will be able to take the examples straight from the page and apply them in the cockpit without any conversions or adjustments.
Customer Reviews
Cirrus version of PHAK, lacks important Apple Books features for note takers
Content is great, high production value, it’s the PHAK modified for Cirrus aircraft w/ helpful tips.
It’s not perfect though, issues include:
- Cannot add notes
- Doesn’t support highlighting
- Cannot easily select text in order copy and paste into another note taking / flash card app
- Search is essentially nonexistent. I often have to find material in the PHAK since this format doesn’t always find correct match (largely due to formatting, this makes it very tough to use)
- It’s essentially a PDF
If all you do is read without needing to take notes then this is great. However, know that it’s difficult to use for common Apple Books note taking features.
This would be 5-stars if updated for in native Apple Books format.
Cirrus publications team, please update this to be in native Apple Books format to allow Cirrus Approach pilot students to use this properly for notes, highlights, Apple Pencil support and more.
Can not highlight, edit, make notes, or texts
How can you study without making notes or highlights. Crazy. How do you expect to be proficient by simply just reading through. You make notes so on you r 2nd 3d and 4th revision you can see important points you made.
Ridiculous. Spent an hour trying to figure this out. Only to see another person had the same issue.
