Publisher Description

Welcome to Darmid, where magic is a sin, fairy tales are contraband, and the people live in fear of the Sorcerers on the other side of the mountains.

Rowan Greenwood has everything she's supposed to want from life—a good family, a bright future, and a proposal from a handsome and wealthy magic hunter. She knows she should be content with what she has. If only she could banish the idea that there's more to life than marriage and children, or let go of the fascination with magic she's been forced to suppress since childhood.

When Rowan unknowingly saves the life of one of her people’s most feared enemies, that simple act of compassion rips her from her sheltered life and throws her into a world of magic that’s more beautiful, more seductive, and more dangerous than she ever could have imagined.

Rowan might get everything she ever dreamed of—that is, if the one thing she's always wanted doesn't kill her first.

Mags and me ,

Bound

Hard not to love a fantasy with magic, dragons, power struggles and romance. Rowen, raised in the land that killed all magical things and people, accidentally discovers she has a magic bound up in her unable to retrieve. Aren, raised by magic and all things mystical, must overcome the destructive ties that bind him if he is to help the one person about whom he cares. The adventure will lead you on through each of the Bound series. Hard to get enough of this well imaged and intellectually written journey.

Unique Magic World

I really enjoyed ‘learning’ about magic, magical creatures, magic laws, and running into uncertainty about what might happen to the characters. I gave this 4/5 stars simply because, though I thought some people were unique and exciting new characters I hadn’t run into in another book, I sometimes didn’t feel very attached to their characters; there didn’t seem to be a flow to keep their story lines magnetic enough to pull me through the book after them. But! I made it through and feel that subsequent books that are shaped around these and other characters the author creates will take on more life in my imagination and would be well worth the investment of the corresponding mental character creation (that work belongs to the reader), too! Go get started on the journey and expect some fun fresh fantasy world finds!
