Indecision

Evelyn Montgomery pens another winning novel set in her “Destined Hearts” series, a contemporary romance that captivates your attention and tugs at your heartstrings the entire time. Eva’s friend Gwen left her on her own in the bar, when some guy was coming on to her hard, but a stranger who pretends to be her date saved her. Noah was also with his friends at that bar when he saw her, thinking at first that she was taken, but then seeing he read the situation wrong and stepped in to save the day. One hot passionate kiss later, the two only get to chat for a short time before Gwen comes back and urges her to go, not getting either out of their mind, they thought they would see each other again, except fate intervenes and they meet again, at her parent’s home no less. Noah is friends with Rex and her brothers, and he kept declining dinner invitations, but since he was planning to leave soon, he gave in, not expecting to see her. The chemistry between these two was sizzling hot, and they fell for each other quickly, but things get rocky when their own inner demons and insecurities get the best of them. I loved all the layers of the story and how it all played out, with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. As always, the writing, the plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Their journey was not an easy one, and they faced obstacles, some of their own doing, but in the end they find their way. Evelyn Montgomery, thank you for another fantastic novel and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧  I listened to an advanced copy of the audiobook, Maxine Mitchell and Sean Masters deliver an incredible performance, bringing these characters to life, humanizing them with their personality, giving each a voice that was fitting and was believable in every role. Mitchell was a natural in Eve’s role, determined and fierce, and Masters’ grasp of Noah’s angsty demeanor and his charm with that southern accent was swoon worthy. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions, making you feel every one. These two versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.

The ending will leaving you needing to read the next book ASAP. 10/10 recommend if you love a good love story sprinkled with some spice. love Noah and Eva’s story. I can’t wait to read book 2.

Indecision is the story of Noah and Eva. Noah hails from the south, but lives with a friend in CA working construction while he finishes college online. Eva is a journalist at a local newspaper, focused on furthering her career. After Noah and Eva meet randomly at a bar in LA, they expect not to see each other again. However, a chance encounter at a dinner party in northern CA brings them together once again—and sparks fly.

Indecision is a slow-burn contemporary romance with relatable characters who grow as the story progresses. Life and love never follow a straight line, and that’s reflected in this book. I’ve come to expect great twists & turns and plenty of steam with this author, and she does not disappoint in this story.
