The lifelong enmity between the streghe and Malvagi means that the twins must always wear blessed amulets; when they bring them together one night as eight-year-olds, despite their Nonna's dire warnings, they unwittingly free the seven princes from hell. After Emilia finds Vittoria's murdered body, heart torn out, a decade later, the grief-stricken girl inadvertently summons one of the Malvagi: the Prince of Wrath. Good read
This was interesting read and I do recommend it. I gave it four stars because for me it wasn’t the page turner I was hoping for. The story line was good if a bit convoluted at times. Don’t want to spoil it but the ending wasn’t what I hoped it would be.
I loved this book
I don’t understand the pacing issues others described, or the complaints about this being a cooking book. The cooking scenes are few and far between, and aren’t overly detailed where it’s not entirely relevant. She likes to cook, that’s her hobby and she helps her family run a restaurant so of course there’s going to be scenes interwoven.
I read all 3 books in a week, and really enjoyed the series. The plot was super unique, and there weren’t any dead giveaways. I love the two main characters, and there’s a nice slow burn then spice in books 2 and 3. Highly recommend giving this series a chance and ignoring the poor reviews on this one.
Slow and repetitious
I read her other series first, throne of the fallen, and decided to read her earlier books. It was so slow and without any actual progression of the story. I’m half way through the book and the story has just stalled. Not even going to try and finish it. There is no way she wrote the throne of the fallen without using AI writing tools. Her writing could not have improved to that level.
