Snipe, Love, Repeat
Man in Black is book 3 in the Black Knights Inc Reloaded series and features Fisher and Eliza.
Fish has a history of violence in his family. His father killed his mother in a fit of rage after raping her. Fish and his brother were too young to have witnessed this atrocious crime. Because of this, Fish believes he can never fall in love and get married for fear he has the same violent gene from his father. He does not want to ever hurt a woman. So instead he keeps his distance.
Eliza is the President's Chief of Staff's daughter, who was placed with the Knights to help coordinate between them and the President. She butts heads with Fish over anything and everything. He goads her and then she snipes at him. And then they reverse positions.
Both are jealous of the people the other go out with. Eliza does not want to be another notch on Fish's bedpost and Fish won't commit because of what his father did and for fear he has the same violence in him.
But when chaos reigns down on Eliza, will Fish be the one to protect her? Or will he leave that to his wingman, Britt? Hanky panky is had until it's not. And the sniping begins again, only worse.
When the guys return from a failed mission, with serious injury, Fish retires to his room to avoid any confrontation with Eliza. Instead, the rest of the team decide to unwind with a bonfire. After a heart to heart with Boss by the firepit, Fish realizes maybe he's wrong. Now, will he act on this new information? And will Eliza give him another chance?
So I still have a lot of questions, but we are treated to a snippet of an answer. Who is Bishop? Who is Yang? The little sneak peak at the end of the book just whetted my whistle and really makes me want to know who the players are and what is going to happen next.
What a Journey
Eliza and Fisher’s journey is filled with ups and downs, back and forths, emotionally challenged but when the worst comes to worst will Eliza miss the assassins bullet and will Fisher break Eliza’s heart all over again? Enjoy the journey!
Couldn’t put it down
From start to finish “Man In Black” is the latest “can’t put down book “by Julie Ann Walker. Such a great series about the Black Knights Inc. group of motorcycle riding undercover operatives working for the president. From chapter one of “Man in Black” to the last chapter I was on the edge of my seat. Couldn’t put it down! Fisher, an operative of the BKI group falls for Eliza, daughter of an important Washington DC senator. Who and why would someone want to kill her? It’s an exciting ride to finding out the answers. Highly recommend this book and the whole series of Black Knight, Inc books. So good!!
