Marked in Flames

This is book 5 and the last, in the Aspen Pack series and it features Steele, the Enforcer and Jade, the fire witch. The attraction was there and they both knew they could be mates. Their reluctance stemmed from different experiences in their pasts and a major one in Jade’s present. They both have their secrets but her secret will blow them all away!

There are many SHOCKING plot twists that left me with my mouth hanging open. The battle was epic! It’s full of family, friends, vampires, demons and a few heartbreaking traitors. We got to hear from the Moon goddess, herself, as well. It was all running like a movie in my head. I’m sad to see this series come to an end, as I will miss the Pacific Northwest packs but I’m excited to see what this author has for us next!

I really tried to go slow and savor this book, guess again. Ms. Ryan’s shifter tales are always an emotional ride packed with action and hard fought battles. But the characters draw me in most of all with their back stories and a sweet sexy falling in love story. All of the previous pack member headliners return with little updates and assisting in taking on the big baddie. The Aspen series has been especially heartbreaking but they manage to pull together, support each other and come through. Don’t miss this great shifter read.

This story was an emotional rollercoaster. Even knowing the aspens are being hunted, when both Jade, then Steele are taken you can’t help but hold your breath. This family has been through so much and have lost loved ones, however they have come out of the other side stronger. Jade and Steele are so good together. Loved this conclusion of this demon and the traitor Lily.
