Melt With You
Publisher Description
A swoony holiday romance from USA Today Bestselling Author J.H. Croix!
A billionaire, a firefighter, one night. No strings. Until Christmas.
Max
Harlow May tests every limit I have and makes me want to break every rule she creates. She’s a temptation I can’t seem to resist.
She’s strong & sassy and a firefighter. She fights the fire between us.
Once I have a taste, no one else will do.
Harlow
A wedding, a one-night stand, and no happily-ever-after. That’s how it all started with Max Channing.
Along comes another cliché – a second chance. A year later, I’m about to face Christmas alone when tall, dark & dangerous Max shows up again.
Our lives are worlds apart. He’s a billionaire tech investor. I’m a hotshot firefighter. Nothing about us makes any sense.
I never thought I’d see him again after the hottest night of my life. I was wrong, so very wrong.
When our paths cross again, we break every rule.
Harlow & Max’s story is perfect for readers who love small town romance, hotshot firefighters, broody billionaire heroes, smart, sassy heroines, second chance, forbidden romance, opposites attract, slow burn, emotional romance with a dash of angst, plenty of swoon, and a deeply protective grumpy hero.
*A full length, standalone romance.

Awesome characters!
This is book 8 in the Into the Fire series and it features and Max and Harlow. Harlow is still mentally dealing with things from her past. Max really has his work cut out for him. The steam factor is OFF THE CHARTS with these two. I love it when the man appears to falls harder and faster.
This is another fabulous story set in Willowbrook, Alaska. As usual in this series, ALL the characters are amazing and the story lines have a natural flow. I can’t wait for more!
Didn’t keep my interest
I’ve read all previous books in this series and love reading this author, but this one just wasn’t for me. I couldn’t really connect with characters and I constantly felt like something is missing. Also, there was lots of repetition. Harlow’s inner monoluge was just running around in circles about the same thing. There were many things that could have been used for creating more drama between Max and Harlow, but in the end is was just about Max convincing Harlow to give them a chance. I still recommend this series and look forward to reading the next book. This one just didn’t keep my attention and interest.

4 1/2 Stars
Harlow has commitment issues stemming with her ex-Cliff, who cheated on her and left her to deal with a miscarriage alone. Max has issues of his own and his one night stand with Harlow has him running scared with the feelings she evokes.
When they meet a year later, Harlow’s shields are still firmly in place, but Max has grown up and is ready face the feelings he’s been harboring for Harlow.
Well written contemporary romance that was a real page turner!
