Merciless, An Option Zero Novel
Somewhere between the darkness and the dawn lies a truth that could get them killed.
Years ago, Asher Drake lost everything he loved. He had followed the rules, done the right thing, and was repaid with betrayal. Now, as leader of Option Zero, he plays by his own rules and handles things a different way. Ash knows he might not live to see another day, but one thing is certain, he will fight till his last breath for what’s right.
Out of dark desperation, Jules Stone became someone else. Having experienced the worst of humanity, she battles her demons by fighting for those who can’t fight for themselves. But the shadows linger. When an opportunity arises to repay a debt, Jules accepts the offer, hopeful that the shadows will disappear forever.
Secure in the knowledge that power is the ultimate weapon and truth is only a matter of perception, an enemy watches, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Putting aside the pain of the past, Ash and Jules must join forces and fight their demons together before the darkness becomes permanent and destroys them both.
This book grabbed me from the start with suspense, action and a great story.Jules Stone has lived through a nightmare and bings serial killers to justice, Asher Drake, head of Operation Zero has his own tragic past to overcome and together maybe they can do just that. This story has a ton of heart and kept me in suspense till the end. I cannot wait for the next story in this new series. If you are a fan of her LCR Series you will love this.
Brand new kickoff for Christy Reece. Option Zero. When there is no one else. Asher Drake is the one. He and his team of operatives are often the last resort. Jules Stone owes him and he doesn’t even know it. Her past may be a mystery but their future isn’t.
So, I am a Christy Reece junky. I stalk her. I email her. I ask her random questions and she tolerates me. Grey Justice, her previous series, was my ever-loving favorite, all time. When LCR Elite finished, I cried. Option Zero is going to be no different.
Ms. Reece always creates worlds where you want to live. Her heroes are strong, alpha men and her heroines are just as strong. They aren’t wilting flowers, waiting to be saved. Usually they have as strong personalities and character flaws as the heroes they fall in love with. Asher Drake and Jules Stone hit the mark. This is an awesome start and I can’t wait to see what and who comes next….
