Fun times
I enjoyed this story about how Eleanor and Brazrothan meet and the trouble they find and must face. I laughed and groan and had a great time watching these two. Drama, monsters, fate and everything else played a part in this story that I enjoyed.
Too short
This was a super short read and gave lots of different sub stories that could have been explored but were just left opened. The whole thing felt rushed.
Paranormal romance, unexpected ending
I’ve read the first three books in the ‘Blackthorn Academy for Supernaturals’ series and I really enjoyed them. The characters and world building were exceptional and the plots very intriguing. Unfortunately, I didn’t get that same enjoyment from this addition to the series.
Book four, Monster’s Enemy, sounded extremely interesting from the description but I found it slow moving and confusing at some points. There’s also an unexpected cliffhanger type ending where the story just kind of stops. It was almost as though I read a sample of an upcoming book, instead of the book, itself. I feel bad for giving it only 3 stars, and it seems that I’m the odd man out as others have rated it highly but I feel I have to be honest.
I’m really looking forward to book five and hope this one was just a fluke for me.
