Love it!
You wouldn’t know it was part of a series! The scenes. The character interactions and the drama - superb. Daruka Montreau is running from her father and seeking sanctuary at The Blackthorn Academy just causes her to find her mate - comically it is a lust demon elf Asmoday. The character pains and growth are interesting and the sexy scenes are hot. I love reading Daruka’s thoughts when it comes to Asmoday. Definitely age 17+ reading. It does have a HEA and ends on a light note.

Fun
This story was entertaining as Daruka a half demon and half mermaid, and Asmoday a half lust demon and half elf, meet and realize the other could be the One. But of course things are never straight forward and easy at Blackthorn. These two were fun to watch and see how they would solve their issues.
