My Favorite Mistake

Wow I loved this book and highly recommend it. The love that Caspian felt for Rys was so heartwarming . After one night together he couldn’t get her out of his mind and heart . After a marriage in Vegas where there might have been alcohol involved, these two finally got their HEA.

Claudia Burgoa never ceases to amaze me with her impressive writing style and creative mind. Her books are engrossing and I just love getting lost in the world she creates, it is escapism at its best. And she gives us another Spearman brother to fall in love with in this fourth book set in her “Paradise Bay Billionaire” series, a professional hockey player and captain of the Portland Orcas. Caspian had a memorable hookup with a woman he met at his brother’s vineyard and no one compared to her since and the next time he sees her, she is with one of his teammates, one he does not get along with. Polaris ‘Rys’ Vega was that hookup and she had a feeling he was a player and she was right when she learned who Caspian really was, a professional hockey player and a teammate of the man she was dating. When she goes to Vegas to surprise her man, turns out she was in for a surprise and not a good one. She heads to the bar to drink away her sorrows, and winds up seeing Caspian once again. And what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? Wrong! A night of drinking and having fun leads to wedded bliss, that is until the next day when Rys realized what she had done, not to mention the news catching wind of it and trending on social media. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a beautifully plotted story with charming characters, plenty of drama, a touch of angst, heartfelt emotions, and some steamy romance. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧 📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, as always, Claudia Burgoa cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. Teddy Hamilton and CJ Bloom did an amazing job with these characters, giving each their own voice and personality. They have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, taking each role and making their own, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they captured all the characters’ emotions, projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

This is a heartfelt and heartwarming emotional roller coasters. It was such a fantastic read. An engaging and captivating story which hooks you from the first page and keeps you captivated until the very end. The plot was well written and the characters were relatable and well developed. Loved Rys and Caspian characters. These two had a shot but Caspian missed it and now Rys visit Vegas to visit her boyfriend and gets a shock and Caspian doesn’t want to miss his second chance with Rys. Claudia has done absolute justice with the plot and characters. The storytelling is beyond perfect . Loved this story and can’t wait to read what Claudia would write next.
