One night.
No strings.
Things just got complicated.
Between long hours in the ER and failing to please her demanding father, Dr. Alexa Collins barely has time for a life, and the strain is starting to take its toll.
On a rare night out, she can’t resist getting a little crazy on the dance floor. Or playfully crooking her finger at the sinfully hot football player watching her every move. And when a dance leads to some hot, stress-relieving sex, she’s all in with Luke Thompson. He’s just the no-risk diversion she desperately needs.
When Luke proposes they spend some time together, Alexa can’t say no. Not when he’s so determined to show her how to have fun. Alexa figures it can’t hurt to have a few days with the irresistible Luke. After all, he’ll be gone soon, and her life will return to the daily grind.
Except this perfect stranger is more than she anticipated and when it’s time to say goodbye, he’ll be taking a big piece of her heart with him.
* Perfect Strangers was originally part of the Hot Summer Nights anthology.
Customer Reviews
Loved it!
Cute & steamy, small town romance! Loved it! Small town doctor meets pro football player from the big city! Absolutely love Carly Phillips!.

Rushed and a bit messy with supporting cast and timing but still a good read
Good story but very bad background characters. Timing did not fit with other books. Cole is football player ??? and not an undercover cop??? Cole’s Dad moving into assisted living???Author can’t decide if Luke should call Alexa “Lex”, “Lexi” or “Alex” for short nickname. Who is Gina D. ???? I really like this author but this short book was messy and felt rushed and out of place. The main couple storyline is still good.
Alexa & Luke
A cute Serendipity novella featuring Dr. Alexa Collins and visitor Luke Thompson. Alexa’s controlling father set high expectations and picked her career path when she was a child. Luke is visiting a friend and has a chance meeting with Alexa in the local town bar, Joe’s. Instant chemistry on the dance floor has them wanting more. Luke shows Alexa how she should be cared for and how to have some fun. He has her questioning some of her life decisions. She has to stand up for herself against her father in order to get the life she wants.
