"Tragedy haunts her, regrets shadow him and passion lures them into a mystery as dangerous as their feelings for each other. In MY WILDEST DREAM, Freethy captivates with a sensuous game of tainted hearts and tempting romance." Isha

My Wildest Dream
My Wildest Dream is the second in the Whisper Lake series. Barbara Freethy delivers once again with this wonderful story that combines suspense, romance, and healing. Brodie’s dreams of winning gold in skiing at the Olympics are dashed with a tragic accident. He decides to follow in his grandfathers footsteps and become a police officer and moving back to Whisper Lake to start over. Chelsea was leading a very successful life as a country western singer when she decides to give it all up and move to Whisper Lake to be near her siblings. No one, not even her family knows what happened to make her decide to do that. Instant attraction on both sides but Chelsea is determined to keep everyone at arms length. Enter an arsonist, and a student of Chelsea’s drawing pictures from a fire that happened across the street from his home. Loved the seamless introduction of characters from her previous books in this one. Loved the suspense and the romance. Highly recommend.
A fantastic continuation of the series
Full of the action-packed suspense and romance that Barbara Freethy is known for, the conclusion leaves you satisfied. This rapid page turner will have you on the edge of your seat from cover to cover.
Thrown together by a night cat capture. Brodie and Chelsea each finding their way through past turmoil, find the path to their future. There is arson, stalking, romance and the HEA ending. I did have problems finishing this book, not because there is a problem with the story, but there is nothing new here. As always, Barbara Freethy, writes an excellent story. Add this one to your list.
