Naero's War: The Annexation War
Publisher Description
The Annexation War rages across hundreds of Triaxian systems. Naero Amashin Maeris serves as the valiant, headstrong young fleet captain of Strike Fleet Six, spearheading the Alliance advance. They battle against Triaxian zealots, Hevangian assassins, and every deadly trick, tactic, and surprise their ruthless enemies can hurl at them.
Hundreds of fleets clash to decide the fate of trillions enslaved to corrupt tyrants–tyrants devoid of all honor. Terrible losses mount on both sides. The stress of the brutal, interstellar naval war tears at everyone. Triax unleashes horrific genocide devices to scorch their worlds as they retreat. Naero's crews and their brave Spacer Marines struggle to defeat the implacable foe, and save what lives they can.
Yet one thing remains certain. No matter who falls. No matter who dies.
TRIAX MUST BE DESTROYED!

Last stand of a GigiCorp
This is the first book in a "side" series of the Spacer Clans Adventure series. This book takes place between books 1 and 2 of that series. While you can read this book as a standalone, I highly suggest you read Naero's Run first to fully understand this book. There is a lot of violence in this book and it is not for sensitive readers.
This book describes the war against Triax, the worst of the Gigicorps, and Naero's military service with the Alliance Navy. Naero is young, but is already a strike fleet captain of Strike Fleet Six which is comprised of fifty assorted warships. Her ship, The Hippolyta, is a huge dreadnaught and state of the art. Naero is a "Spacer" and has been on ships her entire life. While she still has a lot to learn and more maturing to do, she excels at battle strategy as well as an innate sense during the fighting that is hard to match. This book details not only the war against Triax but what Naero is thinking and feeling throughout the battles and dealing with all the loss of life.
The many battle scenes and all the violence gets hard to read and I had to put the book down for awhile after too many of them. While for me I didn't devour this book like I did Naero's Run, I enjoyed the book and will continue to read future books in both this series as well as the Spacer Clans series.
A good continuation of the Spacers story
Naeros story continues to move on through the various battles and challenges in the life of the spacers
Looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book and if Naero will ever find the right person to be with
