Publisher Description
In the last stages of a genetic disease, Ellen Creighton has decided to live out her remaining days at the estate of her longtime friend Harrison Burlington. Harrison cares deeply for Ellen, but as a wheelchair-bound paraplegic, he's never allowed himself to get serious in a relationship. However, he's desperately trying to save her by finding the holy water that is believed to heal any disease.
When he locates two flasks, Ellen refuses to drink one of them because she believes the holy water killed her sister and father. In an effort to convince her to take it, Harrison ingests the contents first, and when Ellen witnesses the effects, she can no longer deny the power of the substance in the bottles. Dangerous criminals are also seeking the holy water, and Ellen soon learns they will go to any lengths to get the powerful drug--including sending her back into the past to find it for them.
Bestselling and award-winning author Jody Hedlund plunges you into the swiftly flowing river of history in a race against the clock in this breathtaking, emotional second Waters of Time story.

Captivating must read!
The second book in Jody Hedlund’s time travel series Waters of Time, Never Leave Me is full of suspense, romance, danger and intrigue. I never imagined that I would be a fan of time travel novels but Jody has me hooked on this series. I love Jody’s books. As a result I have expanded my reading genre list past just romance to YA, historical, time travel, etc because I’ll read anything Jody writes.
The main characters, Ellen and Harrison made appearances in the first book of this series. Their appearance in the first book left you intrigued about them and hoping to find out more about them. Ellen is dying of the same genetic disease that her mother passed away from. Harrison is a paraplegic who has been in a wheelchair since the age of four. Harrison is desperate to find the flasks of holy water to cure both of them. Once he finds the flasks and both of them are free from their ailments adventures awaited them.
I so loved this story and can not wait for the next one. This book grasped me, kept me captivated and intrigued with its suspense and romance. I felt so engaged with the characters and couldn’t wait to see how their stories unfolded.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
Captivating
This is the second book in the Water of Time series. (And I do recommend reading them in order.) One of the main characters, Ellen, was miraculously healed from a fatal illness. As a result, her life is in danger, as scientists want to discover just how the healing came about. Ellen is captured and forced by her captors to cross time to the year 1382. When she arrives, she is immediately in danger once again, as an evil Lord tries to claim her for his wife. I don’t want to give anything else away about the plot. But I will say that story is fast paced and action packed. You will not be able to put it down. The author does a lot of research when writing each of her books, and it most definitely shows. I highly recommend both books in this series… And I would love to see them made into movies! :)
Stunning and captivating romance!
This book was such an enjoyable read. The settings were incredibly vivid and I loved the bit of suspense in the plot that made this so hard to put down. The romance definitely delivers while also staying in the clean romance genre. I highly recommend this book.
