Loved this story!
When I see Michelle Helliwell, I know I will enjoy her story. The characters and settings come alive in this tale. Lady Eleanore is done with putting herself out there in the marriage mart. Scandalized for a broken engagement she is determined to immerse herself in her charity work at the local infirmary. What she finds is that Bastien DuMont has replaced the usual physician and seems to have a lot of secrets. As they often are, things and people are not always as they appear. Dashing Bastien ( don't you love that name?) is really a spy on the run trying to stay out of the sights of those in pursuit. Intrigue, danger and a lot of emotions, bring this delightful story alive. A must read to see how it all works out and you will not be disappointed! This book was gifted to me..
