Prinzhorn

Hans Prinzhorn was a psychiatrist who collected art by institutionalized mental patients in European hospitals during the 1920's and '30's. He established a permanent collection of over 5000 works and wrote a seminal book describing the art and attempting to correlate styles with categories of mental disorders. This brief survey of the collection is accompanied by handwritten adaptations of instances where artists and musicians have exhibited psychologically deviant behavior.
