Former high school sweethearts reunited! There's a hint of danger, a sweet reunion, and pulling of heartstrings here and there. I had a good bit of trouble connecting with this couple in the beginning, but once they got through some of their issues, they became a little more open and easier to get a feel for.

Sebastian Maxwell has never forgotten his first and only love. Family pressure forced him to leave her behind, but she's never been far from his mind over the years. Now he's back home after years in the military and trying to pick up the pieces of his life. He can't believe it when he sees Ali working with an event planner at one of his father's crony's houses. He's in charge of the security around the place and keeps catching her snooping around in parts of the house where she doesn't even belong ... what's going on here?

Ali Cooper hasn't had it easy since Seb dumped her. The plans for life that she always dreamed of never managed to happen, and she's doing everything she can just to stay afloat day in and day out. When opportunity arises to possibly right a wrong, will Sebastian be willing to help her even the stakes are high for him, or will she be on her own yet again?

Finding Love Again! This is the second book in The Protectors Series. This is Sebastian Maxwell and Ali Cooper's story. This is a combination of enemies to lovers and second chance romance, so if those are the type of genres you like this story is for you.
Sebastian and his ex-marine friends have started a security business since they have returned home. While he is providing security, for a family friend, he stumbles onto Ali snooping around on the property. It has been 12 years since he has seen her and broke her heart. But he has never forgotten her and regrets, that he let his father force him to stop seeing her. As they become friends once more, Sebastian knows that this time he cannot let her get away.
But Ali is on a mission, she needs to get information to help her father and her family. Sebastian's father fired her father as well as other employees and then took their pensions away. Ali has to get evidence to prove they lied, about their financial situation. With her job as assistant to a party planner, she finally has access to the CEO'S property. Ali's family is dependent on her income to survive. Could this finally be the break she needs to get revenge for her father?
Will Sebastian help the love of his life, destroy his family? Will this be the end to their newly found love again? Or is Ali just using her friendship with Sebastian, so he will look the other way? You will have to read to find out.

Another awesome story written by Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams as they penned Protecting the Enemy, the second book in their Protector’s Series. These two ladies are definitely a dynamic duo in the author world. This is a second chance story between Sebastian and Ali. When he was nineteen Sebastian listened to his father and gave up the girl he loved. Fast forward twelve years and Sebastian is a body guard for Ali’s event planner friend. Ali is there to uncover information of Sebastian’s father, the man who ruined not only their relationship but also her family. Sometimes attraction and chemistry does not die with time and separation.

Protecting the Enemy is a great story with plenty of drama and danger. This is a story about redemption and second chances. I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting it down. I recommend this book to other readers. It makes for a wonderful, light easy read. Although this book is part of a series it is a standalone story.
