Pursuant The Beginning

After twenty years in military intelligence and the CIA, Marion Kenway thought he was finally done with dangerous work. He wanted nothing more than quiet nights, cold beer, and a normal life in his suburban neighborhood. But normal shatters in a single night when a feral creature, a creature that shouldn't exist, invades his neighbor's house, leaving his friends brutally murdered.

Barefoot and relying on raw tactical instinct, Kenway fights back and kills the entity, only to be ambushed and detained by a clandestine operational team. Waking up in a high-security containment facility, he is introduced to the Pursuant: an ancient, covert international organization that protects humanity from the dark truth beneath the surface of the Earth.

Initiated into a hidden reality filled with subterranean Agarthan portal networks, alien tech, and predatory Meta entities, Kenway realizes there is no turning back to his old life. Teaming up with sharp-witted Inspectors Zia Kose and Blake Donovan, the former operative accepts his new assignment, trading his quiet retirement for a deadly new role as an official Pursuant hunter.
