Forgotten...
just how good Clancy's earlier works had been! Read it many many years ago and yet, reading it once again, I was hooked for hours upon hours. The only way to accurately describe/summarize...is to read the book.
Red Storm Rising - Masterpiece
Clancy makes a gutsy author's move, & pulls it off with panache!
From the strategic movements of modern warfare to the fears of the individual combat soldier in tactical environment, a huge story is told by a larger author.
One can only marvel at Clancy's ability to intertwine diverse stories of submarine, combat air power, marine forces, combined armies, and their scheming political masters.
All five stars go to the Champ of techno thrillers!
